Ludwigshafen, Germany – January 8, 2013 – BASF signed a contract with the Munich-based Serafin Group for the sale of its CONICA Sports Surfaces business together with its site in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Both parties agreed not to disclose financial details. Closing of the transaction is expected by the end of the second quarter of 2013.

The currently valid version of the DIN V 18035-7 standard, "Synthetic turf surfaces", dates from 2002. In 2007, the European standard DIN EN 15330-1 "Synthetic turf areas" was published and intended to be a “partial replacement of DIN V 18035-7”.
Water, heating, electricity - these are all major causes of environmental pollution and so the club examined its financial resources carefully and carried out a seven year trial. The result is now obvious. Expenditure for electricity fuel oil fell drastically. By exercising a great deal of care and entrepreneurial spirit, the club is even creating future income from sales of energy.
